The seafood was super fresh! Been the the Cajun house a few times before and it has improved so much.
Got the garlic noodle, steamed clams, steams prawns & whole dungeness crab. We got them steamed in the bags. This is my guilty pleasure because I find the use of plastic wasteful - plastic napkins, plastic gloves, plastic to cook the seafood. -

This restaurant used to be good, but the last few times that I've been back, they've down graded a lot.
They tend to over cook their seafood. We always asked them not to over cook it, but they still ended up over cooking it.
We got a pound of clam in their garlic butter sauce. The clams were over cooked and rough. We also got a pound of shrimp in their House Cajun sauce. The sauce was so diluted that it tasted like water mixed with a hint of spices that weren't cooked together. -

Cajun House is one of the many Cajun styles seafood restaurants in San Francisco Bay Area! The seafoods was fresh. But the dining room is very tiny and the tables and chairs are not comfortable!
We have ordered King crabs, Clams, and Mussels. The tastes are okay, but less flavorful than the other Cajun styles seafood restaurants I have tried before! We have also ordered two side dishes, the garlic breads and the garlic noodles. I guess I will not order it again!
No parking garage near by and the street parking is very hard to get in the area. Try to come here before 6pm for dinner or expect a longer wait time! -

MAN OH MAN...
Came in for the first time today by a friend's recommendation. Made reservations for 2ppl at 7pm and came in on time. Got seated right away. We were so eager and ready to try this place! We ordered immediately the Cajun fried rice, 1lbs of mussels, 1lbs of shrimp, both house Cajun sauce, and a fried oysters. First of all...we wanted the fried rice to GO WITH the seafood. I mean...that's kind of what rice is for right? But the fried rice came 10 mins in. We finished that and waited another 10-15 mins before the seafood came. At which point I asked if the fried oysters were coming soon too since it's fried so that should've came first? Or even before the seafood? Server said yes it's being made. So we dig in on the seafood and with no rice to compliment since that was the first thing they served us and the seafood took so long in between we devoured our Cajun fried rice already. Half way thru our seafood I asked the server again where's the fried oyster? She said it's coming still...now I'm just thinking how long could it possibly take for some goddamn fried oysters????? Anyways, we waited. Waited so long that we were already done with our shrimp and mussels which takes TIME TO PEEL. And I asked again. Server said "it's still not here??" No lady, no. She went into the kitchen and said in Chinese where table 6's fried oysters?? At this point I'm just so fed up I told them to cancel it. I heard her in chinese saying to the kitchen and acknowledged that my fried oyster was punched in 50 MINUTES ago. Yeup. You right about that lady. All in all, the service was just terrible. The quickness of the food was terrible. All out of order. No one wants to dine throughout their dinner and finish and wait and finish and wait for their entire order to come. COME ON. And I had asked 3 times about my fried oysters throughout my entire meal...it really shouldn't have been that hard to get that checked on and done. The food was also mediocre. I had better mussels and shrimps elsewhere. Shrimp skin was hard to peel and was stuck on shell, indicating it wasn't as fresh as its suppose to be. And mussels were super small for the size of the shells. Overall, terrible. -

If you're craving cajun in sf, this is the place to be. I've tried crawstation and the flavor is not as good as cajun House. Of course, this does not beat kickin crab or boiling crab in San Jose. I've come here a multiple times before and finally just had a chance to write this review. We've ordered clams, shrimp, garlic noodles, and the oysters before.
Clams (2/5) it was definitely not fresh at all and it just had an odd taste to it at the end. It may have been an off day but that just discouraged me from trying it again
Shrimp (4/5) I typically get the lemon pepper and House cajun medium spicy which was really good. Only gave it a 4 star because the shrimp can sometimes be VERY overcooked making it super mushy.
Garlic noodles (5/5) love how buttery and garlicy this is. A must here !
Oysters (3/5) definitely not the best quality for about $2-$3 for one.
